Parking in Dublin for St. Patrick’s Day

If you’re heading over to Dublin for St. Patrick’s Day and you’re renting a car then you’re going to want to know where you can get parked. To say Ireland’s capital will be busy on ‘Paddy’s Day’ would be a slight understatement, so we’ve got a few tips for you:

Paid street parking controls will be suspended so if you’re lucky enough to find a parking spot in Dublin city centre for your hire car then fair play to you, it won’t cost you a cent.

However, bear in mind there’s no guarantee you’ll find a spot as Dublin will be chock-a-block, so it’s probably worth your while getting a secure parking place:

Your best bet is to check out the AA website – you’ll get a comprehensive list of car parks in the Dublin City area (take a look at the Dublin street map on the Softguides website to pinpoint the location).

This way you can leave your wheels in safety and get on with the more important business of partying and celebrating!
