Book Car Hire Early for Easter and Summer

Easter and summer are fast approaching and holidaymakers are flocking online to reserve accommodation and car hire. With this demand often comes short supply and with car rental rates currently low for the weeks and months ahead, now is the time to book.

With the Royal Wedding on Friday 29th April becoming a bank holiday, workers in Britain will enjoy two consecutive 4-day weekends. It also means that from Friday 22nd April, workers need only take 3 days holiday to enjoy an 11 day holiday break. The demand for car hire abroad will increase greatly with supply becoming an issue. To counter this, it is advised to book as early as possible for both Easter and summer.

With people taking advantage of the extra  holiday to spend some time abroad, car rental prices have been climbing steadily in the last few weeks in line with demand. Popular hotspots including Malaga, Alicante, Faro and Geneva are have seen noticeable rises in car hire prices recent weeks. Currently, cars can be booked from as low as £17  per day at these destinations but leaving it any later could see a doubling in price. By reserving your car hire early, you are keeping costs down, availing of a quality car hire when you arrive at your destination, and having that extra few pounds in your pocket for your holiday is an added bonus.

Holiday makers should also note that as summer approaches,  extras such as baby seats and satellite navigation systems are usually is short supply. To counter this, people should factor in these items when reserving car hire for the busy summer season ahead.
