For many people, Malaga is just the airport they land in en route to their chosen resort on the Costa del Sol, but there’s a lot more to this Andalucian city. As the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, it has two world-class museums, as well as an imposing cathedral, an Arab fortress, and a fine palace. Cultural gems aside, it is encircled by sparkling blue seas and miles of sandy beaches and packed with bustling tapas bars serving excellent food full of Spanish character.
